First Year

All First year students will be offered the opportunity in June to go away together to Whithaugh  Park, Newcastleton for one week.

The aim of the week is to allow the Pastoral team, their youngsters and other staff to meet in a structured yet informal setting so that a stronger bond may be set up between them. The week long activities programme also enables youngsters to develop important personal and social skills.

Whithaugh Park is situated in 100 acres, and the living accommodation consists of top class Swedish chalets. In addition there is a modern heated swimming pool and a games hall. The programme of activities includes art, water study, orienteering, woodland study, outdoor pursuits and a study of the village of Newcastleton.

Second Year

As part of the Exodus programme all second year students participate in a Health Week where activities explore a wide range of issues aimed at encouraging a healthy life style.
