Change of Timetable

The change to a new timetable takes place in mid-to-late May each year

Emergency Closure

In the event of severe weather conditions or some other emergency, e.g. power failure, the Headteacher may, after consultation with the Director of Education, decide to send some pupils home early or to close the school. If such a decision is made:

  • pupils who do not come to school by contract bus i.e. in the main pupils living in Selkirk will be allowed home as soon as the decision is made. Pupils who will be unable to gain entry at home or at the emergency contact may remain at school until such time as entry will be possible.
  • pupils who come to school by contract buses (e.g. Ettrick, Yarrow and Lilliesleaf) will be sent home by bus as soon as possible. Fuller "Emergency Procedure Information" is issued to contract bus pupils in Autumn of each year.
